Visiting the website

The website is hosted on a Hetzner server in Nuremberg, Germany. Your IP address, requested files and the technical information your browser sends are processed to deliver the pages and maintain their operation.

The website does not run visitor analytics or advertising trackers. Images, fonts and scripts are served from this website. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy information.

Operational logs

Routine HTTP access logging is not enabled in the website’s Caddy configuration. Operational and error logs are written to the server’s system journal and a local system-log copy.

The journal is limited by available storage and configured size limits; it has no fixed automatic deletion age. The separate system-log copy rotates weekly and retains four archives. This does not mean that every journal record is deleted after four weeks.

Technical processing serves our legitimate interest in providing and operating the website reliably (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Email contact

The contact link opens your email application addressed to ilirian.halilaj@gmail.com. The website does not collect or submit a contact form. An email is sent only when you send it through your email service.

We use the name, email address, message and any attachments you choose to send to handle your inquiry. Messages are received through Gmail (Google) and also pass through your email provider. This website does not add end-to-end encryption to email.

For contract-related inquiries, processing supports the steps you request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); otherwise it serves our legitimate interest in answering your inquiry (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We retain inquiries only for as long as needed to handle and resolve them. We then delete them unless a legal retention obligation requires continued storage.

We do not additionally forward inquiries or share their contents with other recipients. The email providers described above process the messages for transmission and receipt.

Browser storage

On a visit without an explicit language choice, our server may compare the connection’s IP address with a locally held list of network ranges estimated to be in Albania or Kosovo, to offer an optional Albanian language suggestion. This feature stores no IP addresses or visitor history, performs no external IP lookup and requests no GPS access. The match is an estimate, not proof of location or language. A dismissal is remembered in this browser until the site’s browser data is cleared. A temporary language-and-time marker carries the automatic redirect within the tab and is immediately removed. Missing, outdated or unavailable data leaves the existing language selection unchanged.

If you choose a language using the language links, we save that choice in this browser’s local storage until you change it or clear the site’s browser data. Without a saved choice, the homepage uses your browser’s language preferences. No external service is contacted to determine the browser language.

The site does not set analytics or advertising cookies. It temporarily stores page-transition state in this browser tab’s session storage. That state is read and removed when the next page opens, and is not an analytics identifier.
